The Losar Festival in Ladakh marks the beginning of the new year in the traditional program of Tibetan Buddhism. It is celebrated by the Buddhist community in the Ladakh region.
Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare launched a Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization in 2014-15, to increase the reach of farm mechanization to small and marginal farmers and to the regions where farm power availability is low.
The top five states in terms of increase in forest cover are Andhra Pradesh (647 sq km), Telangana (632 sq km), Odisha (537 sq km), Karnataka (155 sq km) and Jharkhand (110 sq km).
