It aims to enhance the transport corridor between Central Asia and Persian Gulf through International North-South Transport Corridor encompassing ship, rail and road route. Its member countries are Oman, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and India. India joined the Ashgabat agreement on 2nd February 2018.
