The difference between a two-digit number and the number obtained by interchanging the two digits is 63. Which is the smaller of the two numbers?
S.P. per metre = 8200/40 = Rs. 205∴ C.P. per metre = Rs. (205 - 25) = Rs. 180∴ C.P. of 40 metre cloth= Rs. (40 x 180) = Rs. 7200∴ Gain = Rs. (8200 - 7200) = Rs. 1000
This is a simple division series. Each number is divided by 5. Rule = (1st number / 5 = 2nd number) (2nd number / 5 = 3rd number)....Now, (1000 / 5 = 200), (200 / 5 = 40), (40 / 5 = 8)...So answer is a = 8.
