Area Problems
The cost of papering the four walls of a room is Rs. 48. Each one of length, breadth and height of another room is double that of this room.The cost of papering the walls of the new room is?
Let the length, breadth and height of the room be l, b and h respectively As per question Cost of 2(l + b) x h = Rs. 48 ? Required cost = cost of 2 (2l + 2b) x 2h= cost of 4 [2(l + b) x h ]= 4 x Rs. 48= Rs. 192
Area to the rectangular field = 12375/15 = 825 sq mAccording to the question, (L x B) = 825 [L = length and B = breadth]? L x 25 = 825 ? L = 825/25 = 33 m
Area of square = 40 x 40 = 1600 sq.cm Given that the areas of Square and Rectangle are equal => Area of rectangle = 1600 Sq.cm We know that, Area of rectangle = L x B Given L = 64 cm Breadth of rectangle = 1600/64 = 25 cm Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(L + B) = 2(64+25) = 178 cm.
We have: (l - b) = 23 and 2(l + b) = 206 or (l + b) = 103. Solving the two equations, we get: l = 63 and b = 40. ∴ Area = (l x b) = (63 x 40) m2 = 2520 m2
According to the question, Area of semi- circle = 77 m(1/2) x ? x r2 = 77? r2 = (77 x 2 x 7)/22? r = 7m ?Circumference of semi- circle =?r + 2r= ( ? + 2)r = [(22/7) + 2] x 7 = 36 m
